The Japanese saying „枕高くして寝る” could be translated to „sleeping with a high pillow,“ in other words, „Sleeping well and without worries“. Since ancient times, it stands as a metaphor for comfort and, for even more so, for mental peace.
How does our life influence our dreams, and vice versa? What do you see in your dreams and what influences them? These are a few of the questions that the piece tries to evoke in the audience.

Sometimes the mere act of waking up isn’t easy and feels like a mission in itself. This piece explores the pains and joys of everyday life, from getting out of bed to a blissful coffee and finding yourself half-asleep on the train.
How can we find peace in this modern world? And mustn’t it be blissful to simply be a pigeon, flying over the city without many worries?

Berlin, Ballhaus Prinzenallee
In a 2022 study, the IFO Institute estimates that domestic violence has increased by 40% due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in a time marked by international crises, it is difficult to adequately focus attention on such a complex issue. For victims, the violence usually takes place within their own four walls, behind closed doors. The specially developed play „HEIMTÜCKE“ brings this topic to the stage through a adaptation of a real case from German judicial history, in a special symbiosis of various art and disciplines.
